A family has ended their long house hunt by snapping up a Bossley Park residence just in time for Christmas.
The couple, who have two children, were the only party registered for the auction of No. 3 Fuchsia Place, which resulted in the home being passed in.
A lack of competition worked in their favour and saw them buy the property for $860,000 through McGrath agents Tommy Sipina and Frank Bartolone.
“The buyers had been looking for a while in the Edensor Park, Bossley Park and Wetherill Park areas but were previously the underbidder,” Mr Sipina said.
“It came down to being able to negotiate post auction, and it was a market value sale.”
The property sold for slightly more than the suburb’s median price of $835,000, according to CoreLogic data.
The four-bedroom house is set on 550sqm in a cul-de-sac near Club Marconi, Stockland Shopping Centre, parks and schools.
It has tiled living spaces plus a covered outdoor setting and a separate barbecue area. The agent said the vendors lived there for seven years and had updated the kitchen. They sold to build their dream home elsewhere.
